well lets start off not with xmas but rather with my keyboard 1st lol.
always thought i'd stay away from yamaha after spending work time in that place for so long and full of complaints about how much cash they rip off non-musician foreign tourists who are ill-informed about instruments like guitars and conveniently walk into yamaha ps and get persuaded by the random sales guy (i dont do that) to buy something not worth half the value of another brand and costing twice in price.
but yet when it comes to keyboards i cant resist their internal grand piano sound modules cuz they are simply dominant in quality compared to anything like roland or m-audio, i mean for the piano sound, other effects would be rather equal. (k i guess thats all they are good for other than ripping off tourists.) after giving most keyboards and stage pianos a try, p140 sounded significantly superior and had much better touch and feel, actually so did cp33 which didnt have its own built in speakers so i was leaning towards p140 from the start, which was one of the few professional yamaha models . didnt think i would go past 1k canadian but since i wasnt so satisifed with the rest, including yamaha p70, i thought i'd go with p140 that would last for longer use. ended up paying twice of p70's price and more, with the bench and stand. JIALAT lol gotta love that shitty 13% tax on everything except books and food.my own wallet-breaking bday present.k at least im really amazed at how good the sound sample is and really contented.
and first bday present was a pair of sony mdr-v300 which are noise-canceling. great. was hoping to get something like that soon anyway since i didnt buy that audiotech one back in sg.
on with xmas, dinner at home with mom and her friends. fireplace came to good use for the night
best dish of the night salmon salad
merry freaking christmas to all dudes and chicks reading, and maybe happy new year^^
